This week, demand for Turkish flat steel in the export markets is still low. Market players state that Turkish dealers have reduced their flat steel export prices by $5/mt in order to stimulate sales. However, the new price range is still considered to be high compared to Chinese and ex-CIS flat steel prices. Currently, Turkish hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to the export markets are at $385-395/mt FOB, while Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers are still at $510-515/mt FOB, both for August production.
