According to market sources, demand for Turkish flat steel is still slack in the export markets. Turkish exporters' hot rolled coil (HRC) prices have remained stable during the past week at $330-340/mt FOB. Market sources state that buyers' firm bids are currently at $310-320/mt FOB but Turkish producers find it difficult to reduce their prices to this range. On the other hand, Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers have declined by $20/mt in the same period to $420-430/mt FOB. All prices are for November production.
