During the past week, buyers in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market have continued to make new bookings and demand has been lively, while prices have moved upwards since Turkish steel coated steel producers’ order books are fairly full and also due to the ongoing uptrend of domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) prices.

Accordingly, Turkish domestic PPGI prices have increased by $30/mt week on week, with RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI prices rising to $1,070-1,105/mt, with the price of RAL 9002 0.5 mm increasing to $910-930/mt and the price of 1 mm RAL 9002 moving up to $800-835/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, in the export markets, demand for Turkish PPGI is weaker as compared to demand in the domestic market. However, Turkish PPGI export prices have increased by $30/mt week on week to $895-905/mt FOB in line with rising PPGI prices in the domestic market.
