During the past week, demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market maintained its recovery. Turkish PPGI producers increased their prices as their production costs moved up amid the uptrend in Turkish hot rolled coil (HRC) prices, as well as the increases in global raw material and flat steel prices.

Turkish domestic PPGI prices have moved up by $20/mt week on week, with RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI prices rising to $970-1,025/mt, the price of RAL 9002 0.5 mm increasing to $820-850/mt and the price of 1 mm RAL 9002 up to $710-765/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish PPGI export prices moved up by $20/mt week-on-week to $805-825/mt FOB in line with domestic prices, while purchases of Turkish PPGI in export markets slightly improved.
