Turkey’s sole plate producer Erdemir has so far kept its plate offers for March shipments unchanged over the past week at $590-600/mt ex-works, partly as there has been no significant price change in the hot rolled coil segment for now. In the meantime, traders’ prices for St37 grade 15-40 mm x 1,500 mm ex-stock steel plate have moved down in Turkey. Currently, the product is available at $580-600/mt ex-warehouse in the Gebze region and at $570-590/mt ex-warehouse in the Eregli region. These prices are for advance payment and for January deliveries.

In the import segment, commercial grade steel plate from Ukraine’s Metinvest is on offer at $530-540/mt CFR for March shipments. Bulgaria’s Stomana Industry S.A. is in the market with $565-570/mt CFR offers for February shipments, which is stable over the past week, but sources expect the supplier to revise its offers shortly.

The above domestic prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
