Turkish flat steel spot prices rise following hikes by mills

With the support of the higher hot rolled coil (HRC) prices announced by local producers in Turkey, traders have also increased their HRC retail offers by $10-30/mt over the past two weeks. "We have to renew our stocks with higher-priced materials now and we have no choice but to increase our prices accordingly. Demand is still low and we are hoping more demand comes after the holiday, otherwise the new prices will not be accepted in the market. We need the support of demand," a trader told SteelOrbis.

Traders’ prices have increased by $10/mt for CRC and HRC products and $30/mt for hot rolled pickled and oiled products.
