Flat steel demand in the Turkish domestic market is still at medium levels, while spot market prices have remained unchanged since last week. In the meantime, contrary to expectations, demand in the local market has not showed any slowing down yet despite the start of Ramadan, causing increased optimism among market players.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, flat steel prices in the Turkish domestic market have not witnessed any increase in previous weeks though discounts have been withdrawn instead, while market sources believe that any price increase would slow down actual demand in the absence of an improvement in demand.
