Over the past week, demand in the Turkish coated steel market has remained weak and buyers have continued to buy only in line with their urgent needs. Market sources state that there is still pressure on prices but, since price decreases do not result in increased demand, Turkish re-rollers are only giving discounts to actual buyers. The economic situation in the country is also still not good and, accordingly, demand is not expected to recover in the short term.
Turkish mills’ price offers for coated products for their domestic and export markets, for October and November production, are presented in the following table.
