Turkey’s re-rollers have been trying to maintain their official prices unchanged for coated and CRC particularly for the domestic market, while facing relatively slow domestic trade and a lack of support from the export side. Still, some of them are ready to provide discounts in the case of sizeable orders since there are still volumes available for June production. It is worth mentioning that, although the situation in the HRC segment is also not very bright, the price declines are minimal for now, supporting the lack of dramatic changes in the coated steel segment.
Currently, Turkey’s local base HDG prices for 0.5 mm Z100 are officially at $760-780/mt ex-works, stable for a couple of weeks now. However, $10-20/mt discounts are considered possible. As regards exports, the same material is on offer at $710-750/mt FOB, down $30/mt on the lower end over the past week. Turkey’s PPGI domestic price for 0.5 mm Z100 is now at $900-920/mt ex-works with some re-rollers ready to go down to $870-880/mt ex-works. The commercial material, according to sources, is available at $850-870/mt ex-works.
In the CRC segment, local prices are at $650-670/mt ex-works, down $10/mt over the past week, while export offers are as low as $610-650/mt FOB, down from $650/mt FOB on average which was available in the previous couple of weeks.
