Transaction activity slackens further in local Chinese PPGI market

During the week ending December 19, pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) quotations in the Chinese domestic market have continued to indicate a stable trend, while overall transaction activity has remained slack.

During the given week, demand has remained sluggish in the local Chinese PPGI market. With the weather becoming even colder, transaction activity is now quieter than it was before. Some PPGI producers have been seeking to sell their products as they are under pressure from high inventory levels, and so they allow some room for negotiation on prices in actual transactions. It is expected that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will indicate a slightly soft trend in the coming week.
