China’s domestic stainless steel market has seen slight rises in prices of certain products during the past week, with other product prices remaining unchanged.
Global nickel prices are slightly down compared one week earlier. On September 22, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $9,690/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 452,694 mt.
Demand in the Chinese domestic stainless steel market has remained slack in the past week, while traders are mostly maintaining a wait-and-see stance ahead of the holiday period. It is believed that the stainless steel market may mostly follow a sideways trend in the week ahead, with slight fluctuations also possible.
