In the last two weeks, the price of Mexican domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) increased US$10/mt to reach US$883/mt ex-mill.

The arrival of new auto assembly plants and expanding the facilities already operating in the country represent a great opportunity for development and growth for Mexico and for the steel sector, industry sources said.

Investments in companies like Ternium for $1.1 billion to produce special steels in its Peesquería plant, in  Nuevo León, has made the company the main supplier of the automotive industry, sources said.
