Considering the general negative outlook in the Romanian and European markets, the sole Romanian flat steel producer has again kept its prices stable, with Romanian traders doing the same amid the lack of change in trading activity, though most of them are still willing to provide discounts to serious buyers.

According to reports, the domestic producer has kept hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC) stable week on week at €665-670/mt ex-works and €795/mt ex-works, respectively. Likewise, in the coated steel segment, the producer’s domestic prices for HDG and PPGI have been stable over the past month at €825/mt ex-works and €1,115/mt ex-works, respectively.

On the other hand, Romanian traders have had no alternative but to keep hot rolled sheet (HRS) and cold rolled sheet (CRS) prices stable at €760-800/mt ex-warehouse and €855-870/mt ex-warehouse, respectively.

In the meanwhile, no offers have been received during this week in the import segment due to ample stockpiles and insufficient local demand.
