While Romanian-based traders have chosen to drop prices for hot rolled sheets (HRS) due to extremely low-end user demand and financial difficulties, the sole producer of flat steel in Romania has decided to keep prices unchanged this week. According to producers’ representatives, despite the company's efforts to raise prices, the expected acceptance from buyers has not materialized and business remains quite poor.
Over the past week, Romanian flat steel traders' pricing for hot rolled sheets (HRS) has decreased by €10-30/mt to €770-810/mt ex-warehouse, while cold rolled sheet (CRS) prices have remained unchanged from last week at €960-1,000/mt ex-warehouse.
Meanwhile, the domestic flat steel producer in Romania has kept its hot rolled coil (HRC) and cot rolled coil (CRC) prices stable week on week at €675/mt ex-works and €795/mt ex-works, respectively. Similarly, the mill's domestic market pricing for HDG and PPGI is stable week on week at €825/mt ex-works and €1,115/mt ex-works, respectively.
In the import segment, according to sources, ex-Ukraine offers for HRS and CRC have remained the same week on week at €690-700/mt DAP and €780-790/mt DAP respectively, while ex-Bulgaria offers for HRS are at €740/mt DAP.
