Demand for imported flat steel in Turkey is still slack, while the downward trend in import flat steel offers has not yet come to a halt. Turkish buyers are still postponing their bookings except for immediate needs due to the anticipation of a further decline in global flat steel offers and due to political uncertainty in the country.

Meanwhile, import HRC offers to Turkey from Russia have declined by $15/mt during the past week to $315-325/mt CFR, while Ukrainian HRC offers to Turkey have decreased by $10/mt in the same period to $310-320/mt CFR.

In the same period, cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey have declined by $10/mt, with Russian CRC offers at $390-400/mt CFR and Ukrainian CRC offers at $380-390/mt CFR.
