According to market sources, demand in the local pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market in Turkey is still at weak levels, while producers’ prices have decreased by $15/mt week on week. Market sources state that inquiries mostly have not resulted in deals and that prices have softened during negotiations. At present, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $820-845/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $705-740/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $640-675/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT, and are for September production.

Meanwhile, demand for Turkish PPGI in the export markets is still sluggish this week. Market sources state that export sales were for small tonnages during the last week, while inquiries for Turkish PPGI have decreased. Accordingly, Turkish PPGI export offer prices have also decreased by $15/mt week on week, declining to $695-745/mt FOB for September production
