Demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market has remained slack during the past week. Trading activity is quite slow in the market due to the political turmoil in the country, while buyers are cautious about making new bookings and continue to postpone their purchases. With domestic prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) - the raw material for PPGI production - remaining stable in the past week, Turkish PPGI producers have kept their prices unchanged this week. Accordingly, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $800-855/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $670-700/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $550-605/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.
