Over the past week, demand in the local Turkish hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil market has remained at low levels, while Turkish coated steel producers have maintained their domestic HDG prices unchanged. According to market sources, Turkish buyers prefer to monitor the global market and to postpone their bookings, anticipating that prices will resume their downward movement in the coming days, and are thereby exerting further pressure on prices.
Accordingly, domestic producers’ HDG prices in the local Turkish market, excluding 18 percent VAT, are at the following levels:
