According to market sources, hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in the local Turkish market have started the current week with an upward movement. During the past week, quotations for S235JR quality hot rolled coil (HRC) with thickness of 2.0-12 mm have increased by $40/mt to $540-580/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT. Turkish steel producers have revised their HRC prices due to the increases seen in ex-CIS flat steel offers to Turkey and the rises in import scrap offers at the end of last week.
