Price of imported CRC slightly reduced in Brazil

The last offer of import CRC from China was priced at $600/mt, against $606/mt over the last weeks, CFR conditions for shipments to a port in the South or Southeastern coast of Brazil, with the 1008/SPCC grade as reference.

In October, Brazil imported 3,600 mt of CRC, while exporting 3,000 mt of the product, comparable to 8,300 mt and 7,000 mt, respectively, in September.

The main origins of the imports in October were China (1,400 mt at $538/mt), Sweden (1,200 mt at $811/mt) and South Korea (800 mt at $715/mt) all FOB conditions.

The exports of October were all destined to South American countries, shipped by Usiminas (1,900 mt at $555/mt), ArcelorMittal (400 mt at $502/mt), traders (400 mt at 639/mt) and CSN (200 mt at $607/mt), all FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is currently offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 4,259/mt ($787/mt), against BRL 4,038/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
