A major exporter told SteelOrbis that his last deal to export HRC of the basic commercial grades was closed at $480/mt, FOB conditions, against a range of $450/mt to $460/mt 10 days ago.

The source mentioned that HRC prices for export are following the slab price, under the historical premium of $100/mt FOB over the semi-finished product.

In March, ArcelorMittal exported HRC from Brazil at $265/mt, CSN at $331/mt, Usiminas at $369/mt and Gerdau at $331/mt, all FOB conditions, at price deals probably closed in January.
