Outokumpu announces September surcharges

Finland-based steelmaker Outokumpu has announced alloy surcharges for its stainless steel grades effective for September 2007.

According to the statement released by the company, Outokumpu will apply an alloy surcharge of Euro 2,449 per ton on its 304 series for September 2007 deliveries. The surcharge on the 304 series for August 2007 is Euro 3,062 per ton.

In addition, the alloy surcharge for September on the 316 series will be Euro 4,296 per ton, down Euro 852 from the August surcharge, while the 430 ferritic grade series will be subject to an alloy surcharge of Euro 284 per ton, up Euro 27 from the August surcharge.
