Nucor Sheet Mill Group raises flat-rolled base prices by $60/nt

On Thursday, Nucor Sheet Mill Group announced that due to the continued escalation of raw materials coupled with strengthening demand, the company will increase base prices on new orders for hot rolled, cold rolled and galvanized products by a minimum of $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt) effective immediately.

Nucor added the company reserves the right to review and re-quote any offers that are not confirmed with either a Nucor sales acknowledgement or written acceptance by both parties.

This increase marks Nucor Sheet Mill Group's sixth increase announcement and a total of $12.00 cwt. ($265/mt or $240/nt) in increases since just after the Thanksgiving holiday.
