Mexican domestic hot dipped galvanized (HDG) prices fell US$36/mt in the last three weeks to reach US$743/mt ex-mill.

The fall in sales to companies like Pemex and global overcapacity of steel are putting significant pressure on domestic steel producers. This week large local producers confirmed shutdowns because they cannot sustain the situation.
