Local Turkish PPGI market moves sideways

Demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market is still slack, while Turkish buyers prefer to make bookings only to meet their immediate needs, impacted by the stagnancy of the market due to Ramadan. With the prices of import hot rolled coil (HRC) - the raw material for PPGI production - remaining stable in Turkey since last week, Turkish PPGI producers’ prices have also remained stable this week. Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $810-885/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $680-730/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $560-635/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish PPGI export prices have remained stable over the past week in the range of $700-760/mt FOB, while demand for Turkish PPGI offers in the export markets is still slack.
