Demand in the local Turkish hot dip galvanized (HDG) market has failed to record any recovery during the past week, remaining slack, with buyers continuing to postpone their bookings, concluding purchases only in line with their needs. Impacted by the weak demand, prices in the local Turkish HDG market have decreased by $10/mt on the lower end week on week.

Domestic producers’ HDG prices in the local Turkish market are currently as follows:

Product Price ($/mt) Change ($/mt)
HDG   0.50 mm  100gr/m² 540-590 ↓10 on the lower end
HDG   1 mm  100gr/m² 480-520 ↓10 on the lower end
HDG   2 mm  100gr/m² 450-485 ↓10 on the lower end

The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payments.

On the other hand, SteelOrbis has been informed that demand for Turkish HDG in the export markets is still weak, while Turkish HDG export offers have decreased by $20/mt week on week to $570-580/mt FOB.
