Over the past two weeks, prices have continued to increase in local Turkish flat steel spot markets. While traders say there has been no demand improvement in the market, local flat steel producers have continued to increase their prices due to higher raw material prices, with traders having to accept this price increase in order to renew their stocks. Nevertheless, demand has worsened following the new increases, while end-users do not want to increase their stocks before the year-end. The new spot prices have not been accepted by the market yet and traders say they do not expect any demand recovery before the end of the year.

In the same period, prices have increased $30/mt for HRC, CRC and HR P&O materials.
