Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) spot market has remained slack this week. Since Turkish producers’ hot rolled coil (HRC) prices remained stable this week, Turkish CRC producers have also kept their prices unchanged week on week at $530-600/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT, for June production. Meanwhile, the CRC prices of traders have declined week on week, impacted by Turkish producers’ decreases in their HRC prices last week. Accordingly, CRC prices given by traders in the Eregli region have moved down by $25-40/mt, while CRC quotations from traders in the Gebze region have declined by $15/mt, both week on week.

Currently, traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are as follows:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

Eregli

0.6 mm CRC

610-620

620-640

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for June delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
