On December, 14 Pakistani producers of cold rolled (CR) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) coils revised their offer prices upwards again, citing an ongoing rise in input costs.
Accordingly, CRC and HDG prices in Pakistan have increased by PKR 3,000/mt ($19/mt) compared to the previous offers voiced a week ago. “The market is crazy lately. I remember something similar only in 2008. Higher prices for feedstock have been exerting pressure on all local HRC producers in Pakistan,” a Pakistani source commented.
