According to market sources, in the local Iranian hot rolled coil (HRC) market demand has been sluggish in the past week, with buyers continuing to purchase just in line with their needs. As a result, flat steel inventories have increased in Iran. Meanwhile, HRC prices in the country have decreased by $5/mt week on week to $560-565/mt ex-warehouse, including nine percent VAT.

On the other hand, demand in Iran for HRC imports from the CIS region is currently at very low levels, while buyers prefer to purchase HRC from domestic steel suppliers. Ex-CIS HRC offers to Iran are now at $500/mt CFR.
