According to market sources, supplies of domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) in Iran have been plentiful due to the weakness of demand as buyers have adopted a wait-and-see stance given the possibility of a reduction in customs duty in the country. Due to the current market conditions, prices in the local Iranian HRC market have decreased by $20/mt to $675-680/mt ex-warehouse, including nine percent VAT, as compared to prices in the SteelOrbis report published on December 4.
