The latest HRC offers given to Vietnam are as follows:

Origin

Product

Price

China

HRC 4-12 mm

$490/mt CFR

Kazakhstan/ArcelorMittal

HRC 2.3 mm

$510/mt CFR

While in previous weeks bookings were concluded at the level of $477/mt CFR for Chinese origin HRC, this week it is seen that offers for the same thickness have shown an increase of $10-15/mt. Chinese traders and producers have said that the increase of $20/mt in HRC prices in the local Chinese market justifies the increase in their export offers. However, since stocks and production capacities are still at quite high levels in the Southeast Asian market, especially in China, it would be difficult to say an actual and more consistent demand lies behind this uptrend.
