In the Iranian flat steel market, imported hot rolled coil (HRC) prices have shown an increase of Rials 200,000/mt ($18/mt) early this week, not based on demand, after last week's softening.

Accordingly, Russian origin 2 mm x 1,000-1,250 mm HRC prices in northern ports of Iran are currently standing at Rials 10.2 million/mt ($900/mt) ex-yard, loaded truck, exclusive of four percent VAT.
