New import offers have started to find customers as of the current week in the Turkish flat steel market, where demand is not that strong. This week, a deal has been concluded from Ukraine for approximately 35,000-40,000 mt of hot rolled coil, while import offers have indicated a softening of up to $10-15/mt in negotiations. However, import purchases will likely continue to be for small tonnages as inventory levels are already high in the Turkish flat steel market.

In the meantime, Romanian hot rolled coil (HRC) offers for Turkey are at $595-605/mt CFR, while cold rolled coil (CRC) offers from the same country stand at $705-710/mt CFR. Meanwhile, ex-Ukraine HRC offers are at the range of $540-545/mt CFR, while Ukrainian CRC offers to Turkey are standing at $630-640/mt CFR. In addition, Slovakian HRC offers to Turkey are at $600-605/mt CFR, Russian HRC offers are at $570-575/mt CFR, while ex-Italy offers for HRC can be found at $610-615/mt CFR.
