Import hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in Turkey have softened once again this week, dropping below the psychological level of $900/mt CFR. Ukraine’s Metinvest has recently sold 10,000 mt of HRC for October production at $890/mt CFR and slightly above. Last week, the supplier traded the same volume at $905/mt CFR. Both prices are indicated for small coils.

Russia’s MMK is also in the market, though no sales have been registered just yet. The seller is reportedly talking at $900-910/mt CFR, while bids are once again at $880-890/mt CFR.

Local prices for HRC in Turkey have settled at $950-975/mt ex-works for November deliveries, while export offers are at $980/mt FOB, with no big volumes sold, SteelOrbis understands.
