Import HRC prices fall further in Turkey

During the past week, demand for import flat steel in Turkey has remained slack as buyers have avoided concluding new deals ahead of the Feast of Sacrifice. As there are still strong expectations of a fall in global hot rolled coil (HRC) prices, Turkish buyers have continued to exert pressure on import flat steel quotations.

Under the current circumstances, ex-CIS HRC offers to Turkey have declined by $5/mt week on week to $575-595/mt CFR, while ex-CIS cold rolled coil (CRC) quotations have remained stable in the same period at $625-650/mt CFR Turkey.
