During the past week, Turkish buyers have continued to adopt a cautious stance and to conclude purchases of import flat steel only in line with their needs, due to the ongoing fluctuations of the US dollar-Turkish lira exchange rate. Even though Turkish flat steel producers have increased their hot rolled coil (HRC) prices for their domestic market, import HRC offers to Turkey have remained unchanged in the given period due to weak demand.

It is heard that ex-Ukraine HRC offers to Turkey are still at $500/mt CFR, while Russian HRC offers to Turkey are at $510-530/mt CFR. Meanwhile, as regards cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey, Ukrainian prices stand at $580-590/mt CFR, while ex-Russia prices are in the range of $590-610/mt CFR.
