Demand in the local Turkish hot rolled coil (HRC) market has been at low levels over the past week as buyers have maintained a cautious stance. However, it is observed that Turkish steel mills’ HRC export sales are still sufficient and so they have increased their domestic HRC prices by $10/mt week on week to $660-690/mt ex-works.

Meanwhile, demand in the local Turkish HRC spot market is at good levels, while domestic HRC prices have increased further, rising by $10/mt week on week in parallel with the rises recorded in Turkish mills’ HRC quotations in the previous weeks.
