SteelOrbis has learned that imported material is being offered in the local Italian flats market at the price level of around €370-380/mt ($503-517/mt) FOT. As of today, January 7, the holiday period in Italy has come to an end. Although the direction of demand in this country is not clear yet as today is the first working day after the holidays, price levels are currently at the same levels as in the pre-holiday period. It is thought that the situation as regards flats demand in Italy will gain clarity in the coming week.
