The ongoing uptrend in the global hot rolled coil (HRC) market has made most suppliers more cautious as regards announcing offers to export destinations, in particular to Pakistan. According to Pakistani sources, there are no official offers from South Korea, Japan and Taiwan so far, which gives substantial support to Chinese sellers.

Accordingly, SteelOrbis has learned of a recent booking of 10,000 mt ex-China SAE1006 HRC at $620/mt CFR, for shipment in January-February. At least one more cargo of ex-China HRC was booked at $615/mt CFR a week ago.
