SteelOrbis has been informed that demand for hot rolled coil (HRC) in the North African market has remained slack during the past two weeks, while HRC offers from the CIS region to North Africa have moved down by $10/mt during the given period to the range of $310-320/mt FOB. Market sources state that the downtrend of prices is blocking the recovery of demand and buyers are postponing their purchases amid expectations of a further decline in HRC prices.
