HDG exports increase in Brazil

Export of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) in May reached 44,100 mt, 44 percent more than in April, at an average FOB price reduced by 3 percent to $801/mt.
 
The main exporters were CSN (27,900 mt at $830/mt), Usiminas (11,600 mt at $713/mt) and ArcelorMittal (4,400 mt at $807/mt), all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in March. The main destinations were the US (30,300 mt), Latin America (9,300 mt) and the EU (4,000 mt).
 
The most recent HDG export deals in Brazil were closed at $760/mt, FOB conditions, a major exporter told SteelOrbis.
 
Meanwhile, Brazil imported from China 27,700 mt of HDG in May at $658/mt, FOB conditions.
