The reference price for Brazilian hot dipped galvanized (HDG) exports is now $1,300/mt, against $1,350/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75mm thickness product as reference.

In August, Brazil exported 45,900 mt of HDG, in average at $1,078/mt, while importing 60,300 mt of the product at $843/mt.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 7,447/mt ($1,395/mt), against BRL 7,877/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included, a decline still reflecting lower international prices of the product and competition from imports.
