The reference price for ex-Brazil hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) is currently $1,200/mt, against $1,250/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75mm thickness product as reference. The decline reflects lower international prices of the product.
In May, Brazil exported 26,700 mt of HDG while importing 46,000 mt of the product, against 30,400 mt and 32,200 mt, respectively, in April.

Brazilian HDG imports in May came chiefly from China (41,200 mt at $758/mt), South Korea (2,600 mt at $866/mt) and Hungary (1,200 mt at $1,052/mt) also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 7,870/mt ($1,564/mt), stable from two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
