HDG demand on rising trend in Turkey

This week hot dip galvanized (HDG) demand has indicated an increase both in the domestic and export markets of Turkey. Market players believe that situation in the market will be better after Ramadan. Meanwhile, both domestic and export offers have followed a stable trend. On the other hand, market sources state that, as long as order quotas are not filled, any price increases could harm demand and so steel mills seem happy with the sideways price trend for now.
 
In the Turkish domestic HDG steel market, the sales prices of local production material are as follows:

The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payments.
 
On the other hand, Turkish export offers for 0.50 mm 100gr/m² zinc-coated HDG coils to certain Middle Eastern markets are still standing at $810-820/mt ex-works for August production.
