Stainless steel offers of producers and traders from Far East and Europe to Turkey for 304 2B stainless steel cold rolled coil (CRC) of 2 mm thickness are standing at $2,750-2,850/mt CFR. And this price range indicates a decrease of $50-100/mt as compared to previous weeks, while some transactions have been concluded at the price level in question.
In the Turkish domestic market, on the other hand, market is more active this week as compared to last week. Traders' offers for 304 2B stainless steel cold rolled coil (CRC) of 2 mm thickness are at $3,200-3,400/mt ex-warehouse; however some traders who seek to increase their cash flow may give offers below the general price range in the market.
This week, producers have dropped their stainless steel offers in international market. Accordingly, as SteelOrbis has previously reported, main stainless steel producers in China such as TISCO and Taigang have decreased their stainless steel offers by $100/mt as compared to last month.
On the other hand, global nickel prices have softened slightly this week. As of yesterday, April 18, cash settlement nickel prices reached $17,720/mt on the London Metal Exchange (LME), while the price level was at $18,400/mt last week.
