Flats prices decrease in Portuguese market

SteelOrbis has been informed that the local price levels for HRS in the Portuguese market are currently in a range of €410-420/mt ($553-566/mt) ex-warehouse on actual weight basis. Meanwhile, in the Portuguese domestic market base prices of HDG are at the level of €450/mt ($607/mt) ex-works.

Price levels in the Portuguese flats market have this week decreased by €20/mt compared to last week. It is expected that the flats market will likely soften further for another little while.

Meanwhile, a Portuguese HDG producer, Lusosider, first decreased its HDG base prices to €480/mt ($647/mt) from €500/mt ($674/mt), before then decreasing the price further to €450/mt ($607/mt). Additionally, some HDG deals are heard to have been concluded from Italy to Portugal.
