Low priced Chinese hot rolled coil (HRC) export offers have been dragging down CIS origin HRC prices in the Turkish import market. Nevertheless, demand has failed to pick up in the import market in the second week of September.

As SteelOrbis has heard from market sources, Ukrainian mills' HRC offers to the Turkish market have decreased by $20/mt as compared to last month's list prices and are now standing at $555-560/mt CFR. In the meantime, Russian mills' HRC offers to Turkey have indicated a decline of $35/mt as compared to the list prices in August to $570-585/mt CFR, while their CRC offers have increased by $10/mt on the higher end as compared to last month to $680-730/mt CFR.
