SteelOrbis has learned that Turkish integrated steelmaker Erdemir has reduced its flat steel prices by about $30/mt.

Accordingly, Erdemir is now offering hot rolled coil (HRC) to the Turkish domestic market at the base price range of $630-640/mt, while its cold rolled coil (CRC) local offers are now standing at $730-740/mt, both ex-works. However, market players state that in the actual transaction phase it is also possible to achieve lower prices.

It is reported that, while Erdemir has started accepting orders for its January production, it has not yet completely filled its order books for December.
