This week, demand for Turkish flat steel in the export markets has remained slack. Turkish sellers have continued to reduce their export quotations, in line with their price reductions in their local market, due to the downtrend in global flat steel prices. Accordingly, Turkish sellers have reduced their hot rolled coil (HRC) export prices by $15/mt during the past week to $360-370/mt FOB. On the other hand, Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers have declined by $30/mt in the same period to $470-480/mt FOB. All prices are for September production.
